Donation Handling Process

I developed accounting standard operating procedures at Trinity City Church to incorporate best practices, mitigate risk, protect volunteers, and maintain integrity in stewardship of the donations and private information of donors.

​This project included technical writing, copy editing, and layout of the donation handling process. Key directives included clarity, concision, and quick on-boarding of volunteers to perform a technical role, enabling team leads to train and utilize more volunteers while maintaining a high level of security. ​

Risk mitigation factors included multiple independent party checks, redundancy in data backup, automated one-way file submission access to the database, and same-day deposit procedures to avoid keeping any money in the facility.
